MAPOLY Old Students Hold 2020 Reunion, Donates To Orphanages
The Association of Mass Communication Students Alumni (AMACOS) of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State 1994/1999 set would Saturday next week, December 19, 2020 holds its annual reunion in Lagos.
The reunion, which commences with donations to orphanage homes in Lagos, is with the theme: ‘The Reunion of Thanksgiving.’
A statement by Mr. Lanre Oyegbola, the President of the association said that apart from being a gathering of school mates, friends and renewal of old acquaintances, the group would also give back to society by donating various items to orphanage homes.
According to him, theme for the 2020 reunion was carefully chosen by the group as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which crumbled many business organisations and disrupted many families.
He noted that despite the myriad of challenges within the year, none of the old students lost their lives within the period.
Oyegbola emphasised that most of the old mates are making waves in the Nigerian media and marketing communication space and across other professional fields of human endeavour.
He recalled that the 2019 edition saw the set donate multimedia equipment to the department of Mass Communication, MAPOLY, which he said was useful to the higher institution of learning till date, adding that outstanding students in the various mass communication fields of study were also encouraged with gifts and cash prizes last year.
He pointed out that the gathering would also provide the platform for the executives to present their scorecard to the association in the last one year when the maiden executives were elected into various positions.
